This 100ml bottle of grappa comes with with producer information and is  presented in a gold coloured tin featuring scenery from Venice.

Distilled from pomace of Merlot and Cabernet grapes, this grappa is a tribute to the tradition and craftsmanship of Italian spirits.

The distillation takes place in a traditional water bath copper pot still, which preserves the delicate fragrances and aromas of the pomace. Next, the Sarpa Oro matures in small oak barrels, which brings the amber color and enriches its aroma with woody and spicy nuances.

Aromatically there are intertwining notes of vanilla, dried fruit, and a light touch of cocoa and spices. In tasting, it has equal richness, smooth evolving into a medium, elegant sweetness which is balanced by a fresh vibrancy.

Poli Grappa has been produced and bottled in Schiavon, Bassano del Grappa since 1898. Made by distilling the skins, pulp, seeds, and stems (the pomace) left over from winemaking after pressing the grapes, it was originally invented to prevent waste by using these leftovers. The Poli Distillery cintiunes to gather produce from an area ranging from Bassano del Grappa to the hills surrounding Marostica and Breganze, land historically famous for the cultivation of grape vines and the production of Grappa.

Grappa is primarily served as a digestivo or after-dinner drink.  It also can be added to espresso coffee to create a caffè corretto (corrected coffee) or used in the Veneto to swill round the finished coffee cup before drinking!
